The 3.2 liter V6 has been dropped, but the A3 will now be offered with the two-liter turbodiesel engine found in the the Volkswagen Jetta TDI, with 140 horsepower, 236 lb-ft of torque, and a six-speed S-tronic (twin clutch) automatic transmission driving the front wheels. EPA fuel economy for the A3 TDI are 30 MPG in the city and 42 MPG on the highway. The gasoline-powered 2.0T model is now available with Quattro all-wheel-drive. All A3s get S-Line trim as standard, updated wheels, and optional wood trim, while the Premium Plus model adds Xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights.

FRANKFURT—German auto maker Daimler AG lifted its full-year earnings outlook after reporting a 29% rise in second-quarter net profit, fueled by surging demand for new trucks and luxury cars in many major markets across the globe.

Daimler's net profit was €1.61 billion ($2.33 billion) in the second quarter compared with €1.25 billion a year earlier, while revenue rose 5% to €26.3 billion from €25.1 billion. The company's closely watched Ebit climbed to €2.58 billion from €2.1 billion in the second quarter last year.

"We now assume that (earnings before interest and tax) will develop more positively than we previously expected and will very significantly exceed the level of 2010," Daimler Chief Executive Dieter Zetsche said Wednesday in a statement. Daimler until now had expected Ebit to rise "significantly" in 2011. It said it expects full-year revenue to come in significantly above €100 billion.

"These are strong results, but we had hoped for more due to Mercedes regional mix and truck progress. Instead, we have numbers that simply buttress expectations for full-year 2011," Sanford Bernstein analyst Max Warburton said in a note

Daimler stock has lost about 2% in value over the past six months, underperforming a 31% rise at rival BMW AG. Analysts are citing a less focused product portfolio, a smaller exposure to the booming Chinese market and communication issues as reasons for the lag in Daimler's shares.

Daimler's core Mercedes-Benz Cars division, which comprises the Mercedes-Benz, Smart and Maybach brands, contributed €1.57 billion to second-quarter Ebit, up from €1.38 billion last year. Demand for the division's namesake brand was fueled by surging interest in premium cars particularly in China, where a growing number of affluent customers opts for the company's large flagship models.

Daimler said in addition to higher sales volume, a good product mix, better pricing and lower warranty expenditures helped earnings and more than offset headwinds from higher prices of raw materials, costs related to the launch of new vehicles and unfavorable currency effects.

"Mercedes is overshadowed by BMW, but in isolation 10.7% (profit) margins are an all-time record," Mr. Warburton said.

BMW, the world's best-selling luxury-car maker, earlier this month raised its earnings and sales outlook for 2011. BMW is targeting a sales increase of more than 10% in 2011 to more than 1.6 million cars and expects its auto segment to achieve an Ebit margin of over 10% for 2011.

Mr. Zetsche told reporters that Daimler would make a decision on the future of its ultra-luxury Maybach brand in the course of this year. Maybach sales fell short of expectations in recent years despite rising demand in this segment. The brand, however, accounts only for a tiny portion of Daimler's car sales.

Daimler's truck unit, the world's largest commercial vehicle maker by revenue, posted €474 million in second-quarter Ebit compared with €300 million last year amid a broad industry recovery from a dramatic market slump in 2009. Sales increased 9% to 91,500 trucks in the second quarter. The company said truck sales in 2011 will rise substantially year-to-year as economic growth in most of its markets is driving demand for transportation.

The BMW X5 is a luxury mid-size SUV introduced in 1999 as the first generation E53. It was BMW's first SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) also known as "Four-by-Four" (4x4) in the UK. It features all-wheel drive which is branded as the "X" drive system and is available with either manual or automatic transmission. The second generation X5, known as the E70, was launched in 2006, with the first M version announced in 2009.

The Evoque will be a third model for Range Rover, fitting below the stately, eponymous RR and the Range Rover Sport. It goes on sale mid-2011 at prices running about $40,000-$50,000. A five-door with the same wedge silhouette will follow half a year after.

Volvo has introduced a fresh take on its already stylish C30 hatchback, injecting some sporty styling for the 2011 model year and improving the list of standard equipment. The original introduction of the C30 marked a major turning point for Volvo, with the pint-sized hatch proving that not all of Volvo’s models needed to be boxy and chiseled, or that they even had to prioritize practicality.

You’ll note that the C30 only comes in a three-door configuration. Additionally, the car’s design clearly makes some packaging sacrifices for the sake of being sleek, low, and rakish. For this reason we only rate it an 8 out of 10 here at MotorAuthority.

There are only two models in the 2011 Volvo C30 lineup; the $24,600 C30 T5 or the sportier $26,950 C30 T5 R-Design (pictured).

Both cars come standard with a powerful turbocharged five-cylinder engine developing a peak output of 227 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque, and this is matched to either a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic. Gear shifts in the manual can be a bit notchy so the auto is the winner here if you’re fairly indifferent to transmission choices.

The real star of the show is the engine, which develops its peak torque--yes, all 236 pound-feet, from as little as 1,800 rpm, resulting in strong acceleration in almost any gear.

Performance fans will want to pick up the R-Design model as this version’s chassis has been modified in several areas. Stiffer bushings allow for more precise steering and the steering ratio is lower, giving 10 percent faster response to driver input. Spring stiffness has also been increased by 30 percent and the mono-tube dampers and roll stabilizers have been made stiffer, too.

Inside, there’s plenty of luxury despite this being the entry-level model in Volvo’s lineup. The key feature is the automaker’s trademark ‘floating’ center stack, which has been redesigned for 2011 along with the aluminum door handles. The floating stack is essentially a thin panel housing the radio and climate control switchgear, with storage space just behind.

Some special features include xenon HID headlamps, a hard-drive-based nav system with live traffic updates, leather trim, and a blind spot monitoring system.

Due to its small proportions, things can be a bit tight inside, especially for taller drivers as the sunroof eats into cabin space a lot. The cargo space is a bit disappointing as well.

The Volvo S60 is an established yet unconventional member of the entry-level luxury sedan segment. It competes in a class dominated by cars with normally aspirated six-cylinder engines and bucks the trend by offering a choice of two turbocharged engines, an inline-5 and an inline-6.
Styling is another area in which the Volvo S60 is unique, as this midsize sedan's body lines show off a modern and pleasing Scandinavian design aesthetic. Inside, the S60 strikes one as more functional than luxurious in its ambience, but it's hard to find fault with its carefully considered ergonomics and orthopedically designed seats.
There have been two generations of the S60. Those considering the first generation as a used car should find it easy to like, though in its later years it became increasingly outclassed in terms of performance, features and interior room. The newer S60 is fully competitive, however, thanks to a sportier, more engaging drive and an improved interior.

There were mixed fortunes at the third round as Team FALKEN experienced a mix of triumph and mechanical hardship at the Teeside Autodrome. Fresh back from a demo in front of thousands of die hard race fans at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, Team FALKEN UK was in high spirits and ready for the third round of the 2011 British Drift Championship.
A challenging event led to both Paul Cheshire's Nissan Skyline G35 and Alan Green's Nissan Skyline G35 retiring from competition due to mechanical issues. This left Matt Carter to claim his third consecutive second place podium position.

While the platform, the suspension, and the fuel tank were taken largely from the sedan, a second firewall had to be added, and the seats, the steering column, and the pedal box were moved back by 15.7 inches. As a result, the Exelero looks and feels like a proper coupe, not like a two-door notchback. Interestingly enough, the proportions and dimensions of the 2005 version are quite close to those of the prewar original.

On the long back straight of the track, the Exelero's aerodynamic qualities are patently obvious. Despite the in-your-face frontal area, front-end lift is well contained. Three manually activated tail spoilers keep the rear planted. The drag coefficient of the model made from the winning proposal of Fredrik Burchhardt was 0.35 when it first checked into the wind tunnel, but that was trimmed to 0.28 by selectively blocking off the air intakes, lowering the ride height, fitting a flush underbody, covering the rear wheel arches, and mounting dished wheel rims.

"The Exelero is the work of four students from the renowned design academy in Pforzheim," explains Leschke. "They started off with a given packaging concept and with the brief to come up with a modern, unique, and innovative shape. I am very happy with Burchhardt's winning effort, which meets Fulda's mission and advances Maybach design to a point that may well provide valuable insight for future production models."

Although the Exelero definitely won't go into production, it feels as solid as if it were milled from a single piece of metal, like those SLR-style turbine wheels. Even though the engineers were able to use numerous carryover components, the exterior and the interior were built from scratch by Stola, Turin-based prototype specialists. Neat features include the four pillars for the roof, the sleek greenhouse, the ground-effect rear venturi, and the complex bodywork around the wheel arches. Although it takes a fish-eye lens to capture the 23-inch wheels in their full beauty, the massive rear tires look almost lost from certain angles in their voluptuous all-black surroundings.

At mid-afternoon, I feel like a king, and I'm beaming from ear to ear, reluctant to relinquish my new toy. But all good things must come to an end, and they do at the service area. The Fulda mechanic finds that the tire temperatures are close to the flamb point and the pressures have gone sky high, while a Mercedes-Benz engineer tells me that the day's supply of 110-octane fuel is pretty much depleted. Although the consumption is not as exorbitant as at Nardo, where the Exelero averaged 2.4 mpg, there is no doubt that the V-12 combusted enough juice to punch a few more holes in the ozone layer above Stuttgart.

Although this show car is about as politically correct as the Cadillac Sixteen or the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, it does its job. It puts the Fulda name on a map that used to be dominated by Michelin, Pirelli, and Bridgestone. And it also moves the Maybach image away from that of a conservative S-class clone, pushing it more toward a bespoke coachbuilt driving machine. I have already reserved a place for the mighty mauler in my dream garage, right next to the Heinz Phantom Corsair and the original Batmobile from Gotham City.

For anyone who bobs their head to any of the music in the rap genre, the name "Birdman" is completely recognizable as one of the artists that can spit out bars with the best of them. Keeping that in mind, it’s no wonder that he recently became the owner of a Maybach Exelero for which he paid an incredible $8 million. Considering Forbes lists him as the fourth wealthiest rapper and he is also the proud owner of a Bugatti Veyron and a Maybach Landaulet, this latest purchase shouldn’t astound anyone.

"They got this new Maybach that I want that costs $8 million, I gotta have it," he said in a recent interview, and why shouldn’t he when his net worth is estimated to be $100 million?

The Exelero is powered by a V12 biturbo engine that develops an impressive 700 HP at 5,000 rpm and 753 lm.ft of maximum torque at 2,500 rpm. It can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and hits a top speed of 218 mph. If that isn’t impressive enough, there is only one Exelero in the world.

Weddings are a huge deal for just about every woman with a breath and for Kate Middleton, the event is even more spectacular considering she is tying the knot with none other than Prince William. An event like this is sure to be on the calendars of every romantic in the world and would likewise never slip past the automakers marketing departments as a fleeting thought so finding a vehicle to mark the occasion wasn’t something we thought would be difficult. Turns out, we were right. Project Kahn has taken the time to create a special Maybach 57 Wedding Commemorative edition, which is appropriately painted in pearl white.

The Wedding Commemorative Maybach 57 will feature special paintwork and finish to go along with the pearl white exterior and will also make good use of a new set of 22" wheels. The 57 will also have Project Kahn Maybach 57 smoked rear lights, special interior components, and Pentagon privacy glass. The royal tribute carriage is made complete with a number plate fit for a prince: 4 HRH. For those that do not know, HRH stands for His/Her Royal Highness.

Project Kahn explains the intention behind the special edition: "Project Kahn understands the meaning of traveling in style and with the conversion we perform on this prestige vehicle there is no more of a stylish way to travel. The 4 HRH number plate is worthy of befitting a vehicle such as the Project Kahn Maybach 57. And as a proud Englishman and designer, this is our way of wishing the royal couple many happy years together."

Another model getting the royal treatment is the Lexus LS600h. The hybrid sedan hit it big as Prince Albert II of Monaco and his future wife, Miss Charlene Wittstock, will be driving the Lexus during the shindig. We’re sure these won’t be the only royal vehicles hitting the procession so we’ll keep a look out for any more.

What supercar owners want more than anything else is street cred. It's that indefinable blend of sleek and sexy styling, outrageous power, and genuine racing heritage that motivates a few people to put down the price of a decent house on a car intended primarily to impress friends and deliver weekend thrills. Only Lamborghini has managed to play in this league without the requisite competition résumé.

Then there's Steve Saleen, a man seen by many as the world's most successful Mustang tuner. He is that and more, but how does that qualify him to build a twin-turbo supercar and charge $585,000 for it — a price in the lofty range of the Ferrari Enzo, Porsche Carrera GT, and Mercedes SLR McLaren?

True, Saleen hasn't campaigned his S7 Twin Turbo car in Formula 1, nor has he racked up umpteen wins at Le Mans, as have Ferrari, Mercedes, and Porsche. But despite the sterling racing heritages of their companies, the Enzo, the Carrera GT, and the SLR haven't raced at all. Meanwhile, a racing version of the S7, the S7R, has won seven various GT championships and will be entered again this June at Le Mans. Moreover, that S7R, and the roadgoing S7 Twin Turbo, are virtually identical, built side by side using the same technology — with the exception that the street car, with its pair of turbos, is much more powerful.

This direct kinship with its racing brother is noticeable as soon as you press the start button in the S7 Twin Turbo. The 7.0-liter V-8 bursts to life with a raucous rumble that is unattenuated by any mufflers. Saleen relies on the two turbos and four catalytic converters to remove the harshest notes from the firings of each of the nearly quart-sized cylinders.

Ease into the throttle, and the S7 surges forward with the effortless ease created by 750 horses pushing against just 2968 pounds of car. With 427 cubic inches of V-8 derived from Ford's NASCAR engines and pressurized by two Garrett turbo-blowers working at a mild 6.0 psi, the engine generates enough thrust to scare you at just about any rpm. Floor the throttle when you're rolling along in first gear on a dry, straight road, and the engine fries the rear tires when the boost comes up. On a winding road, it doesn't much matter whether you run in second, third, or fourth gear because there's enough power in any of them to summon big-time oversteer if you're clumsy in a corner.

When you need to shed some speed, you'll take comfort in brakes whose feel is undiluted by any form of power booster. The S7 has twin master cylinders connected by a balance bar, exactly what you find on most race cars. The setup delivers the reassuringly hard pedal and precise modulation that help hold the giant Brembo disc brakes on the edge of lockup.

Although it's power assisted, the S7's high-mounted rack-and-pinion steering is as precise and responsive as the brakes. Move the Sparco steering wheel just a millimeter, and the S7 responds immediately. Run over an invisible dip in the pavement, and the steering wheel wiggles in your hands. Snake through a series of rapid esses, and the S7 transitions without waiting for the suspension to unwind its body roll or transfer weight from one front tire to another. The car simply reverses the direction of its turn instantly.

Toyota has unveiled the first official images of the third-generation 2011 Toyota Yaris (Vitz in Japan), revealing a restyled city hatch with a sharper exterior, improved technology and reduced fuel consumption and emissions.

The new Yaris will arrive in Australia in the second half of 2011, and is expected to feature a similar mechanical line-up to current model, with a 1.3-litre and 1.5-litre petrol engine range.
Toyota Japan says the new 1.3-litre Yaris will be able to achieve combined cycle fuel consumption of 3.8 litres/100km – although under Australian standards that figure is likely to rise to around 5.0 litres/100km.
The Yaris achieves those tidy numbers thanks to the implementation of Toyota’s Stop & Start idling-stop system, which kills the engine at idle and restarts it within 0.35 seconds. In Japan, the engine will be accompanied by a continuously variable transmission (CVT) only.

It is not clear whether the models destined for Australia will feature either Stop & Start or CVT. Neither is available on the current model.
The new Yaris will also be offered with a 1.5-litre engine, which in Japan is paired to both a CVT and a five-speed manual transmission.
Overall vehicle length has grown by 60mm to 3885mm, and Toyota says this has translated to 35mm extra legroom for back-row passengers.

The front seats use a new frame and the driver’s seat is now considerably more functional, with a greater range of motion and more precise settings.
The boot is 145mm deeper and features an adjustable deck board that can be set at two places depending on what you’re carrying.
The Japanese version is full of gadgets as usual, although Australia will get a less well-equipped version. Toyota says it is the first vehicle in the world to use UV-reducing glass in the front doors, which cuts 99 percent of UV light, apparently providing the same level of protection as wearing gloves.

The vehicle also features a single windscreen wiper with an integrated washer nozzle, automatic headlights, a colour monitor with HDD navigation and reversing camera, and steering wheel-mounted audio controls. In its domestic market it will be offered with a choice of 17 different exterior colours and four interior trim options.
The Japanese-spec Yaris will come with front, side and curtain airbags but misses out on standard electronic stability control.
Japanese pricing starts from 1,060,000 yen ($12,680) for the entry-level 1.0-litre model and tops out at 1,790,000 yen ($21,410) for the top-spec 1.5-litre CVT.

Looking for an inexpensive, entry-level new car at a Toyota dealership? In the past few years, you would've likely walked right by the Yaris' oddly proportioned predecessor, the Echo, and opted to shop for one of its worthy subcompact competitors. Thankfully, the Toyota Yaris is a better vehicle in just about every way.

Though new to Americans, the current Yaris is actually the car's second generation from a global perspective -- a first-generation Yaris was available in other markets, including Europe, where it was Toyota's best-selling car. As Toyota's entry-level model, the Yaris should hold considerable appeal for the young and value-conscious consumer.

The Toyota Yaris subcompact is available as a two-door hatchback, a four-door hatchback or a four-door sedan. The hatchbacks' sparse standard features list includes air-conditioning and a tilt steering wheel, while the sedan adds a tachometer, a height-adjustable driver seat and a remote trunk release. Speakers are pre-wired, but a radio is not offered as standard equipment.

Optional equipment includes 60/40-split rear seats (slide/recline for the hatchbacks), a CD/MP3 player, power accessories, keyless entry and cruise control. The Sport package adds exterior styling enhancements, 15-inch wheels, foglights, iPod integration and sport seats.

All Toyota Yaris models are powered by an economical 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 106 horsepower and driving the front wheels. Two transmissions are available -- a five-speed manual and an optional four-speed automatic -- with both delivering excellent and comparable city/highway mileage.

Toyota has put in extra effort to differentiate the two Yaris body styles. They feature different instrument panels, and the sedan is almost 20 inches longer than the hatchback and has a longer wheelbase. This means more room for rear passengers in the sedan, though the hatchback can compensate nicely thanks to its optional adjustable rear seat, which moves fore and aft.

In reviews, we've found that when driving the Toyota Yaris around town, the word "competent" often comes to mind. Not "refined" or "sporty" or "fun"-- just "competent." The steering is light for easy parking maneuvers, and the turning circle is tight. The car feels reasonably secure and comfortable -- but nothing more. The Yaris can be surprisingly fun on twisty roads, but it's nothing like Ford's Fiesta or Honda's Fit. The engine is peppy enough, though off-the-line acceleration can be sluggish with the automatic transmission.

Is this really happening? Just 24 hours ago I was slumming it on the grimy city streets of Johannesburg and now I’m staring over the minty-fresh greenery that surrounds the little Bavarian village of Berchtesgaden. It’s all pretty damn surreal if you ask me, but considering the calibre of scenery before my eyes, I’m not complaining.

Situated slap-bang on the border of Austria, this is the sort of area you’d retire to if you ever struck it lucky in the national lottery. Eerily quiet except for some sporadic birdsong, this exclusive slice of Southern Germany blends great see-through lakes with the kind of snow-capped alpine peaks you’d expect to find people skiing down in one of those old Peter Stuyvesant commercials.

But it also has a history that shocks and fascinates all at the same time. For if you rummage through the area’s archives, you’ll find that it was home to the Nazi elite back in World War 2. Most of the their houses were demolished after the conflict, but some (such as the infamous Eagle’s Nest) still remain, a spooky testament to the darker side of humanity.

It’s a pretty radical place and one that would surely overshadow the international launch of most shiny new luxury sedans. Fortunately it seems my hosts are unveiling a model that actually can compete.

It’s called (take a deep breath) the Porsche Panamera S Hybrid and it is here to give our lifelong brand perceptions a perverse, Dali-like twist. And no, it’s not those four individual doors or that hatched derriere that necessitate such a radical double-take, but rather the moralistic DNA beneath its skin.

While most Porsches are perceived to be passive-aggressive supercars, selfish road rockets dedicated to the pursuit of high-speed hedonism, the brand-new Panamera S Hybrid has something of a social conscience. For even though it packs all the chic brand image and is quite capable of running along some autobahn at an outrageous lick, deep down it’s keen to make a difference. Maybe save the world or, at the very least, a polar bear or two.

And it plans to do this with technology that, even a few years ago, some would not have expected to see inside something wearing Stuttgart’s most famous badge.

Indeed, if you suddenly developed X-ray vision and could pry your eyes (momentarily) away from members of the opposite sex, you would notice that the nether regions of this Gran Turismo are dominated by an innovative parallel hybrid drivetrain system.

Yes, instead of a whopping great turbocharger, Porsche have gone all Toyota Prius on us and dropped a 34-kilowatt electric motor into the mix. Juiced by a NiMH battery that scavenges waste kinetic energy generated under braking, this clever little unit supplements the Panamera’s regular petrol engine by providing an extra slug of power in certain driving conditions.

But that’s only half the story. What really makes this hunk of electro-trickery so pivotal is the fact that it does a lot to reduce the amount of petrol you burn in everyday driving. Sceptical? Don’t worry, so was I until I got behind the wheel and went for a cruise around Salzburg.

About 30 clicks south of Berchtesgaden, Mozart’s hometown may harbour all sorts of distractions, but the way the Porsche Panamera S Hybrid creeps silently through its streets is equally intoxicating. Able to run purely on battery power for up to two kilometres (the looks of bemusement upon the faces of pedestrians never get old), it’s here that I notice what a difference the word “hybrid” makes. For even after an hour of urban transit, the fuel economy gauge fails to read higher than that of a midrange family hatchback.

Out on the open road, far away from Salzburg’s homicidal trams and lunatic cyclists, it causes my eyebrows to arc even further. Because just like some graceful yacht riding the pull of an ocean breeze, this particular Panamera allows you to “sail” along without the conventional engine even turning over.

You still maintain your cruising speed; you still reserve the right to dominate the fast lane, but gently ease off that throttle and you’re soon gliding along on a free wave of electric intervention. And even though it doesn’t last long, that battery momentarily running out of charge, it’s more than enough to reduce the flow of black gold to that supercharged V6 sitting up front.

But don’t for one darn second think that this Porsche has sold out to the world of tree-huggers and soya milk. The Panamera S Hybrid may have torn a page out of the Tie-Dye Bible but, goodness me, it still knows how to get down and dirty with us more un-PC members of society. Coming from a bloodline that’s spawned some of the best driving machines ever created, the mountain roads of South Bavaria prove that this green-suited executive has no qualms about giving your adrenal glands a good milking.

Ignoring the threat of radar guns and Gestapo-like squadrons of Polizei, the way this Porsche feels as it acts in anger is the ace that completes its killer hand. Shipping standard with fully adjustable air suspension (choose your driving flavour and the car sets itself up accordingly), the Panamera S Hybrid dances through the curvy bits with all the brio of a much smaller sports car. Marginally better than an Aston Martin Rapide; considerably more involving than the all-too-serious BMW 7 Series, this is a luxury saloon tailor-made for those who are still in love with the act of driving.

So all things considered then, this latest addition to the Panamera family is a real cracker of a package. But, and let’s be brutally honest, does its promise of reduced emissions and better fuel consumption really matter to the average Porsche buyer?

I mean, come on, if you’re able to spend over a million bucks on a motorcar then the price of gas is hardly going to keep you awake at night now, is it? Exactly. Therefore, and I can only conclude, that the raw appeal of this pedigreed newcomer lies within its technologies. Like the latest iPhone or 3D television that’s worth more than my gross annual salary, the Panamera S Hybrid is a meal ticket to geek kudos and bragging rights.

The Porsche 911 (pronounced as Nine Eleven, German: Neunelfer) is a luxury 2-door sports coupe made by Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany. It has a distinctive design, rear engined and with independent rear suspension, an evolution of the swing axle on the Porsche 356. The engine was also air-cooled until the introduction of the Type 996 in 1998. Since its introduction in autumn 1963, it has undergone continuous development, though the basic concept has remained little changed.

Throughout its lifetime, the 911 has been modified by private teams and by the factory itself for racing, rallying and other forms of automotive competition. It is among the most successful competition cars ever. In the mid 1970s, normally aspirated 911 Carrera RSRs won major world championship sports car races such as Targa Florio, Daytona, Sebring and Nürburgring, even against prototypes. The 911-derived 935 turbo also won the coveted 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1979.

Recently, the car manufacturer Audi launched the Audi A7 series which has received positive responses from his fans. Because in addition to type sedan, this car is well suited to the needs for fast car enthusiasts but still elegant.
Behind the wheel, you get a sense that the 310-horsepower supercharged V-6 is almost a perfect analogue for the V-8s of just a few years ago. It pulls like a superlux bullet train, willingly ripping through the gears on its way to a 5.4-second 0-60 mph time. Unfortunately, the fuel economy is also roughly analogous to the V-8s of a few years ago: I observed an average in the mid-16 mpg range over the course of a week, and frequently dipped into the 12-14 mpg range on spirited trips. That's the first of the things I don't particularly like about the A7, but it's one I could live with considering the car's positive traits from a driver's perspective.

There's a lot to like about the A7 from a passenger's perspective, too, including a roomier-than-expected rear seat. It's not a long-wheelbase executive limo sort of roominess, but even those a few inches over six feet have space to relax. Up front, the comfort is almost limitless thanks to the highly adjustable seats, except for one small detail, likely an artifact of side-impact crash requirements: the driver's seat isn't centered on the steering wheel.
With the convenience and the genius of this car, it is hoped all interested persons can quickly change and use the beauty of this car. So the Audi lovers will soon be entertained and enjoy the grandeur and comfort soon.

German tuner Rieger has unveiled a stunning new bodykit for Volkswagen's sporty Scirocco coupe, a car that is proving immensely popular with tuners from Europe. The bodykit adds some more aggression and flair to the already handsome Scirocco, and even includes Lamborghini-style doors for dramatic entrances.

The front of the car bears some obvious visual clues to the Audi R8 supercar, with the front air intakes adorned with similar strakes to the German supercar. Each part of the bodykit is sold separately, and prices for each individual component vary between €119 and €620.

Rieger will be offering a choice of two custom rear bumpers with air inlet apertures for €499, a grille for the rear bumper spoiler, two types of side skirts and a twin-exhaust rear end. There will also be some 'carbon-look' variants of the aforementioned items, as well as an upgraded stainless steel muffler available.

A number of sets of custom rims, along with the Lamborghini-style doors, complete the modifications, and Rieger will be offering the parts from March 2009 onwards.

The first year for a big block Shelby Mustang. Ford had changed the Mustang body, making it larger to hold a big block motor to compete with the strong competition. Ford put a 390 in the Mustang, Shelby used the Ford 428.

This 1967 Shelby GT500, #703 is Brittany Blue w/Parchment comfort weave interior.

The GT500 came with a hydraulic lifter, police interceptor 428 cid. The cam used in this 428 was later used in the 1968 Cobra Jet 428. The GT500 came from the factory with a medium-riser aluminum intake manifold were two Holley 650 cfm carbs setting on top. The carbs came with progressive linkage with vacuum secondaries. On top of the carbs was a special finned aluminum oval air cleaner, very similar to the one Shelby American used on the dual quad 427 motors. The first GT500's air cleaners did not have COBRA letters on the top. All GT500's came with mandatory optional power steering and power brakes. This model 428 was rated as having 355 horsepower. The Ford 427 was listed an optional big block engine for 1967. However, very few if any GT500's actually left the factory with the 427. There is no documentation indicating any GT500's got a 427

Rolls-Royce regional director for Asia Pacific, Paul Harris told Malaysian journalists that the company is working on several new models for the future and when asked whether the brand would build an SUV, a segment that is increasingly popular among premium brands, he said that nothing has been ruled out.

He added that the new and modern Ghost platform will be the basis for the new product but refused to be drawn into the specifics of whether it will be an SUV or not.

"We understand that the SUV segment is popular among premium car buyers and we have not ruled anything out but what is important is that any product that the company makes will have to be a genuine Rolls-Royce.

"The Ghost has made the brand more accessible to more people, not just in terms of the price but also the image of the model and how people can accept the car and the brand and the success of the smaller car is partly because it is a genuine Rolls-Royce," he added.

The 2010 Civic doesn't look too different from the 2009 model, because it's not. The body is the same buffet of triangles, the engine is the same 2.0 Liter 4 cylinder engine, and the dash board still looks like it belongs on a spaceship. Inside is the same well-appointed, well-equipped, spacious interior Honda has become known for. The seats are bolstered yet comfortable. The cloth feels great, looks good, and will no doubt last as long as the car will. The dashboard does take some getting used to, but I actually found the digital speedometer just below my focal point to be a natural location. The only thing I didn't like is how the giant windshield left me seeing nothing but black top. Visibility is important, but the only way to know where the corners of the car are is to use google earth and zoom in really close.

My only big complaint was the Sat/NAV system. It's horrible. Basically, it gives you WAY too much information, almost none of which you need, the color scheme for night driving takes too long to discern, and the view is like looking at a pebble you dropped on a city schematic drawing. It looks like the flight computer on an F-16, but I'm not driving an F-16. My $100 Garmin is easier to read, use, and pay for. Some of the buttons are a bit plasticky, and probably won't look half as good in a few years, but with numerous cup-holders, good rear legroom, steering-wheel mounted buttons for audio/cruise/NAV, and quality materials where you want them, it's a fine space to travel in.

After you see the commercials for the 2012 Honda Civic Si, you might think the car was built by over-caffeinated Japanese animators for equally restless gum-chewing teenage girls who dabble in ninja work when they tire of hanging out in Tokyo's Yoyogi Park. Seeking ideas for the ninth generation of a cornerstone product, Honda designers from Japan's Wako studio came to the U.S. to walk among Civic buyers, both past and potential. Toshiyuki Okumoto, chief exterior designer for the new car, says he wanted to learn their lifestyles and values. His team found that Civic buyers are an earthy, body-conscious lot into ecology, good fuel economy and Eastern stretching.
